There is no uniform price for mortgage advice in Israel. The price depends on the type of file, its complexity and the scope of the service. What really matters is knowing in advance how much you will pay and for what.
Common pricing structures
- A fixed price per file – the most common. Known in advance and not dependent on the size of the mortgage.
- A percentage of the mortgage amount – less transparent, because it grows the more you borrow.
- Payment by stages – part at the beginning and part after signing.
- An hourly consultation – for those who only want an opinion or a review of an existing offer.
What affects the price?
- Type of file – a simple first mortgage versus upgraders, the self-employed or refinancing.
- Complexity – credit history, income from several sources, a property under construction.
- Scope of service – advice only, or full accompaniment until signing.
How do you know it pays off?
The right question is not "how much does an advisor cost," but "how much do they save." A small difference in interest on a large mortgage over many years adds up to significant sums. There are also savings that are hard to measure in money: time, avoided mistakes and peace of mind.
You can check the effect of a change in interest rate with the monthly payment calculator (in Hebrew).
